Aico ei166e

The Optical Smoke Alarm, Ei166e has a new sensor chamber to give better resistance to false alarms. Developed from the proven optical chamber in our flagship Multi-Sensor alarm, the sensor is now cylindrical in shape and features a bonded protective mesh that encapsulates the whole sensor to keep out potential contaminates such as dust and insects whilst still allowing the free flow of smoke. The Ei166e Optical Smoke Alarm from Aico represents the next step in alarm evolution, being built on the proven quality and performance of Aico’s previous 160RC Series alarms. The new slimline modern design allows the alarm to be less obtrusive in the room, whilst maintaining the highest performance.


The alarm also features a large central test button to provide easier testing. The overall design complements the latest Aico alarms and accessories such as Carbon Monoxide (CO) Alarms and the Alarm Controller. The Ei166e is supplied with the Easi-fit base to facilitate quick and simple installation, combined with easy detector head removal and replacement.


This Aico 160RC Series EI166RC Mains Powered Smoke Alarms has been designed to use both the mains power and Rechargeable Lithium Batteries. With the lithium battery backup option you can be sure that in the event of a fire, your smoke alarm will be able to work no matter if your mains power has cut out because the battery will take over. The Ei164e formally known as the Ei164RC has received brand new re-designing, better detection tools and all round upgrading. The Ei164e Heat Alarm had received a new thermistor improving the reaction time of the alarm as and when the trigger temperature of Celsius is reached.


Can’t comment on reliability or longevity of the product yet as this has just been installed.
