My car has white smoke coming out

What causes a car to emit large amount of white smoke? Why would my car is blowing out white smoke? Can I still drive my car with white smoke? White smoke when the car is running If white smoke continues to come out of your exhaust while the car is running, there are other issues at fault.


One cause of white smoke from the exhaust might be the engine leaking coolant. If the engine leaks coolant, it will be burned by the heat of the engine and then come out as smoke from the exhaust. One of two conditions is responsible for white smoke blowing out of your exhaust. First is normal condition (so you don’t have to panic) and the second is a not so normal condition which should be fixed as soon as possible. The reason for this type of white smoke is due to burning coolant that somehow got mixed up.


Or else, when your car is lacking coolant, the car may heat up and exhaust white smoke. The most noticeable symptom of internal coolant leakage is when the white smoke is billowing out of the exhaust pipe and leaves a sweet odor in the air. White Smoke If you see white smoke coming out of the tailpipe , that smoke means that your car has a leaking cylinder-head gasket or a cracked head gasket.


A blown head gasket will allow the coolant to leak. If the smoke is coming from under your hoo that probably means you ignored white smoke coming out of the tailpipe, and now your engine is overheating. Condensation can turn to vapor, providing what looks like white exhaust. But excessive white smoke likely means coolant is leaking into the engine combustion chambers. If the white smoke still keeps coming out after the engine is nice and warm something may be wrong.


There may be problems with the engine block , and coolant may be leaking in to the engine because of a leak in the head gasket. Should I Be Worried about White Exhaust Smoke Coming from a Car ? White exhaust smoke from your car , depending on when you see it, can be extremely serious or it can mean almost nothing. If you only see it when you first start the car in the early morning when the temperature is low, you have nothing to worry about.


The oil filler cap in almost all the engines releases a faint whiff of smoke , which is a residue of the burnt fuel inside the engine. Sometimes the clouds of. Older engines produce more hot spots, which make the car smoking under hood but not overheating. After just a day, I had to use the whole bottle because my car had ate up all of the coolant. There was still some in my car though so I left it alone for a little while.


I put some more in today then white smoke came. What happens is that the valve guide seals or piston rings are worn out ,. What does WHITE smoke from my exhaust mean? I was driving I heard a screech noise first then a Pop My car has white smoke coming out of the hood then the engine cut off. It sounded like it wanted to start again but it wont. Does the smoke smell like antifreeze?


If it does, you probably have a blown head gasket. What can you do to stop the white smoke from coming out of. It didnt really smell like anything, just a burst of smoke came out at one time, from the driver side vents, like the car was overheating in the engine bay or something and it was coming in the car vents but the car wasnt overheating weiiiird.


I doubt it was my stereo wiring cause my CD player was on at the time, it still plays fine.
