Logan Botanic Garden is a botanical garden located near Port Logan on the Rhins of Galloway, at the south-western tip of Scotland. Recently the woodland area was extended by a further acres (4ha). Originally the garden was bordered by the drive running from Logan House towards Port Logan but the Botanic Garden now uses a small area of parkland on the east side of the drive to site a larger car park and to extend the works area. The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh is a world-renowned scientific centre for the study of plants, their diversity and conservation. Agnes began to experiment by planting more tender species of plants. Her sons, Kenneth and Douglas, inherited her love of gardening and continued to develop the garden. Visitors can walk through groves of eucalyptus and palm trees or stand in the shade of awesome giant rhubarb-like gunnera and from the highest point, there are superb views across the Rhins to the Galloway Hills.

Warmed by the Gulf Stream the site in south west Scotland is ablaze with colour. The Botanic Garden play was an overwhelming success here at Buena Vida. The guests truly fell in love with Carmen and Jim and were blown away by the excellent quality of acting and performance.
We recommend taking the bus from Stranraer, Stoneykirk Rd to Ardwell, Balkelzie Bridge, which takes around min. There is a woodland garden , a terrace and a walled garden. Located in the Tasmanian Creek, this secluded setting can allow for peaceful reflection and tranquility. The garden is owned by the same people who own the Edinburgh Botanics so it feels like a similar experience, but on a smaller scale. It boasts about being Scotland’s most exotic garden.
Just like Inverewe Garden ,. The highly acclaimed production was directed by Academy Award winner Olympia Dukakis. After a successful seven week run, it transferred to the Piccolo Theater for a five week run. Logan botanic gardens are located miles south of Stranraer. Due to their proximity to the gulf stream and their sheltered aspect the gardens grow many plants which would not normally survive outdoors in Scotland. Logan constitutes a specialised part of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh’s Living Collection which is grown and maintained for the enjoyment of visitors and also supports internationally important scientific research, education and conservation. Due to high winds the Garden will be closed from 11am Monday January.
