Craftsman riding mower blowing white smoke

The fix is simple, check the mower for oil, and let the engine idle until the smoke clears. Most of the time, the lawn mower smoke will stop on its own. I thought nothing of it, as the mower kept going full power. Each time it happene I opened the cover as I was riding and noticed the engine was FINE. After replacing these parts, I tried running the mower again and came back with the same issues. Here are the symptoms: Starts up like a champ after primes. It blows out white , runs like its okay for a secon then sputters and blows out more white smoke. The problem exhibited is that the mower will start but you cannot push throttle to full or the mower stalls.


If you let it run at half speed for a few minutes, white smoke starts coming out of the muffler. Too much oil in the engine. While black smoke is caused by the burning of more fuel than air, blue or white smoke is generally caused by the burning of excess oil.


I engaged the mower to start cutting. I saw a lot of white smoke coming out of the muffler and the engine stalled. I have a craftsman riding mower with an 18HP ohv Intek engine. Briggs and Stratton blowing white smoke.


The engine started blowing white smoke and looses power when on a incline. I was mowing and all of a sudden heavy white smoke came out of exhaust. I looked in the carb under the air filter and discovered a lot of oil.


Alright, guys, yall have help me with all of my problems. My craftsman riding mower (which is mentioned on another post) is a great mower. The only thing is that while the blades are engauge and i am going down a certain hill, it will let out a huge plume of smoke and stall. It will start back easily, and. HP inch cut push mower is smoking and dripping oil out of the muffler.


This is after old oil being draine new oil in, new spark plug, and new air filter. As you may have suspecte blue smoke emanating from any part of a lawn mower does not mean a genie is about to appear and finish the mowing for you. Smoke indicates burning oil, which often means.
