Once started the exhaust heat will now start to burn off the coolant and water that was pushed into the exhaust system. When this fluid is heated it will come out the exhaust as white smoke or steam. Leaking or blown head gasket : The head gasket is located between the engine block and cylinder head. It seals the combustion chambers, as well as the coolant and oil passages. A leaking or blown head gasket can allow coolant to enter the combustion chamber.
This in white smoke coming from the tailpipe , usually accompanied by a sweet smell. The most common reason for white smoke from the exhaust pipe that is condensed in the exhaust pipe. White smoke that is like vapor and disappears soon could majorly be because of condensation.
Steam is emitted by condensation in exhaust pipe which is seen at exhaust emission. Usually caused by a blown head gasket. After much research and the third kit coming with different sets of seals - one for the exhaust and one for the intake - it turns out the previous kit coming.
The white smoke and oil in the throttle body does not sound good. These tests can let you know where you stand. A “brand new” transmission should be very apparent by a quick look as it should be super clean.
Some people also consider a 150k miles used transmission or engine to be “brand new”. My problem is the white smoke. It is a van conversion type of motor home. The exhaust will also have a burned oil smell. If the white smoke is coolant, your car is definitely having a crack in the cylinder head or a leaky head gasket , along with a sweet smell.

She sounds fine, but there was some smoke from the tailpipe and a bit from the engine bay. The guy said the smoke was just condensation from the tailpipe , and that it would clear up.
There was some water that came out, especially at the beginning. But, the smoke never completely cleared up, after leaving the engine to run for about minutes. Bad but not as much as the last video. A cracked head may allow coolant to leak into one or more cylinders or into the combustion chamber of the engine. I let it run a while to try to trouble shoot it, I idled it down with the idle screw. I would get a cooling system pressure test done, or the emission test….
The emission test can tell you if there is too much oil or unburned fuel in the exhaust as well,. The last sign of a blown head gasket with an internal leak is to look for the presence of exhaust gas in your coolant. If there is a hole in between your combustion chamber and the cooling jacket in your head gasket , each time the piston pushes exhaust gas out of the combustion chamber into the exhaust system some exhaust gas will also be pushed into your cooling passage.
It was smoking really ba white smoke , it was clearly burning antifreeze. So a couple weeks ago I did the head gasket , intake manifold gaskets, exhaust manifold gaskets, etc. A month or so prior I did the upper intake plenum gasket and throttle body gasket.
One cause of white smoke from the exhaust might be the engine leaking coolant. If the engine leaks coolant, it will be burned by the heat of the engine and then come out as smoke from the exhaust. A problem with antifreeze might also be causing white smoke to come from the exhaust.
Mine started misfiring, with new plugs. Smoke came out the exhaust.
