E85 white smoke

E85 white smoke

I just put in Eand started tuning my AEM EMS. It warms up and then begins to emit white smoke from the tailpipes. I am worried about the smoke that my Eproduces when on idle.

White smoke when warm - Z4-forum. I do however want to comment on the above quote. If not using a flex fuel sensor, you want to tune for the lowest E content, not the highest. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

Im new to Ethanol fuels. I seem to have a cloud following me aroun I`m presuming it`s just steam condensing from running ebut it`s got me worrying a bit now. If I`m driving around I can`t see it though the back window but sat at traffic lights there`s quite a bit more white smoke coming out of the back than other cars. Please try again later. A cracked head may allow coolant to leak into one or more cylinders or into the combustion chamber of the engine.

If your car has a glow plug, the best way you should do is replacing it with a new one. The color of the smoke is needed to help you further though. Generally speaking, blue smoke is oil, black is fuel and white is coolant. For this reason, it becomes possible to run an E-filled car with more power without the fear of detonation.

The knock will still be there but not as much to hamper the performance. Ethanol -only engines show higher brake thermal efficiency than any gasoline engine. They also produce better mileage but. What is the point of using half throttle? Thin oil and a fast engine will distribute oil quickly to the moving parts.

Alright, so today I get off the train from work and remotely start my car. The car seemed like it did not want to start, and when it did it was rough, then blew white smoke out of the exhaust. Any ideas as to why this could of happened?

I just saw your website and I really hope you can help. After, it was running fine. Sorry if I’m wasting your time. Had around 150when I bought it. It blows out gray or white smoke when I hit the gas not sure if I’m at a standstill.

A vehicles exhaust color means alot. The smoke was like a thick white smoke and it stunk. It only did it for about seconds. Hate to tell him but smoke scares me, especially when I am spending thousands for something brand new.

Is this typical or normal? Generally carbon being burnt will give you gray smoke , but not always. You should be getting your truck up to operating temps when you drive.

I dont have an STi, but I have a WRX, and same thing happened to me upon startup. Puff of white smoke out of my exhaust.
