Benmore botanic garden

Its 1acres are home to a world-famous collection of plants from the Orient and the Himalaya to North and South America, including over 3species of rhododendrons. Benmore Botanic Garden. The staff in the cafe were marvellous, so warm and helpful.

Your pooch must always be kept on a short lead at all times in order to protect the garden as much as possible. There are many rugge hilly areas that are sure to give you and your pooch a little bit of exercise. The butterfly house was fun, the three-climate greenhouse was also enjoyable.

One of the National Botanic Gardens of Scotland. A specialist (satellite) Garden of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE). Its hectares (1acres) boast a world-famous collection of flowering trees and shrubs.


It is one of three specialist gardens in different areas of Scotland that form part of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. The others are Dawyck Botanic. In the 19th century it was planted with many north American conifers, which have now matured into an impressive and beautiful forest. Native to the western slopes of Sierra Nevada in California, Sierra Redwoods may live for. Open 10am to 6pm (5pm in March and October).

First group wellcomed by Neil McCheyne. Kids will be blown away by the size and the very notion of climbing one! Great territory for a family stroll in the country. There are fine collections of rhododendrons and magnolias which are well suited to the mild and damp climate on the West Coast of Scotlan but you often have sunny days and high temperatures which helps the plants.
