Honda gx390 white smoke

It will get worse as time goes on. As far as your white smoke issue. I think of white smoke when coolant gets into the cylinder from a bad head gasket or something. White smoke when cold - normal condensation. I would appreciate any advice you folks might have.


It was smoking burning oil. I was surprised to see what was lacking. It got noticeably more obvious after the last oil change which was ~6-8hrs of operation ago. The smoke is bluish white.


It also puts out a small cloud of black smoke and momentarily drops the revs if the engine is throttled up quickly, but I assume that is just the governor pouring fuel in trying to catch up. I barely saw the smoke and was thinking it was low. IF it continues to put out oil, you have other problems. After that, the smoke should cease quickly. IF it just smokes, then maybe the oil is getting in through the intake valve, exhaust valve, or piston.
