When there is white smoke coming from the exhaust, it can mean a few things. I pulled over to open my hood and first thing i did was open the lid were you add the oil and it had alot of white smoke coming out. Can u plz plz help me. White smoke.

But then, after turning the car aroun and revving the engine, billows of white smoke appeared and oil pouring (absolutely pouring, not dribbling) out of the exhaust pipe. When combustion is incomplete, a diesel mist comes from the exhaust. It is very common when starting a diesel in very cold weather. Recently there is a burning smell when driving that is noticeable when stopped after driving. At night I noticed a faint white smoke blowing out of the front in the headlights. The most noticeable symptom of internal coolant leakage is when the white smoke is billowing out of the exhaust pipe and leaves a sweet odor in the air.


It has been emitting puffs of black smoke through the exhaust. Some white exhaust smoke is normal, especially when you first start the car. Condensation can turn to vapor, providing what looks like white exhaust.


But excessive white smoke likely means coolant is leaking into the engine combustion chambers.
