A lovely place to relax. Of international reputation, these magnificent gardens attract thousands of visitors during all seasons. The drive from Montrose through to Olinda is a magnificent one through windy roads lined with tree ferns and towering gums.

Turn into The Georgian Road. The car park entrance is 50m on the right. I visited the Dandenong Botanic Garden with friends in mid May and we had wonderful time there.
But if you have to pick one, make it spring, when hundreds of thousands of buds burst into a bloom of riotous colours.
