So the situation is that the engine is actually suffocating on its own exhaust fumes, which is why it won’t start and spews copious amounts of smoke. Im having some issues with my 2. TD Dnavara at the moment, its just started nowe the car is 60. Ive read about ALOT of similar problems on the net and spoken to many people that have had similar issues with their common rail navara `s. Ultrasonically Cleaned. The primary reason for this is that they are very close to the AFR limit of what will blow smoke from the factory, whereas other manufacturers are not.


Its not the puff you normally see, it is black heavy smoke. Particulate filter light coming on. The light still comes on now and then but now I also have a rattle which sounds like pre ignition and a cloud of white smoke erupts from the exhaust. I took it back and the EGR was replaced.
