Auburn blossom festival

Auburn Botanic Gardens is one of the most popular places in Sydney to view beautiful cherry blossoms. As one of the biggest local events of the year, the festival attracts visitors from all over Sydney. Is it cancelled for this year and if so will there still be something to see in the location where it was going. So what is there to eat and do there? There are different themes and entertainment for weekends and weekdays so be sure to pick a day that’s best for you.

No cherry blossom festival would be complete in Sydney without a trip to Kobe Jones. So many people you could not move. Taiko Drummers are always popular, martial arts and Sumo, tea ceremonies, and stall holders offering a range of products, food and beverages.


I used to live around Auburn years ago and thought it would be a good idea to take a mate to see the cherry blossoms in Auburn Gardens last year for a nostalgia trip. Holy hell, at least this has elbow room. Japanese Gardens at Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Plus lots more, including kids activities!


Western Sydneys most idyllic festival has kicked off this weekend. We went to the Auburn botanic garden to see the cherry blossom festival during the last two weeks of August. While the gardens themselves are small but nice, they harbor only a small number of cherry trees concentrated in two small avenues, and the total view is not impressive.


This year the festival will feature different themes each day so make sure to check out the program. Themes include Hanami, Garden Day, Kids Day, Serenity, Seniors Day and. Outside these hours, it is free for Auburn residents and kids under 16yrs. For everyone else, it is $on weekends and during the school holidays.
