Dd15 white smoke

Dd15 white smoke

I have already replaced injectors and it does not waste antifreeze freon. I would like to know if anyone can tell me What else might be the cause or what else could it possibly be. I appreciate all suggestions, thank you in advance. Seems worse if the engine brake was used.

Detroit have checked the engine and say nothing is wrong but can,t tell me why it is doing it. Perform the following to determine if replaced drive hubs and coupling resolved excessive white smoke : ‪ Start and run the engine. Run the engine at idle with a no-load for approximately minutes, allowing the engine coolant to reach normal operating range.

Visually inspect exhaust for excessive white smoke. But like I said I have replaced the seventh injector and fuel shut off valve. Blows blue smoke every now and then under power and when the HEST lamp is on. Condensation that accumulates inside the exhaust pipes, converter and mufflers can produce a puff of white smoke upon diesel engine start-up.

DDwith DPF muffler. In very cold temperatures, the heated exhaust can freeze into minute fuel droplets when exiting the exhaust and produce a more prolonged emission of white smoke for a very short period of driving time. Too many variables here. The SCR box was defective.

Does it blow white smoke all the time or only at idle? I recommend checking you oil to see if it looks milky. At a minimum you will be changing injector o-rings, but with that much antifreeze it could be head gasket, leaking in the cylinder wall, too many things can cause that.

White Smoke Indicates a Faulty Fuel SysteTime for a Fuel Injector Service. Any time you see a change in the behavior, you need to address it. To determine if the fuel pump is causing excessive white smoke , perform the following to check fuel intake pressure upstream of fuel pump. Got behind a road tractor tonight that pulled out very slow in front of me.

All of a sudden very large quanities of pure white smoke blew from the stack. It was so thick is obscured sight! Thankfully the wind was blowing the cloud away from me, my window was down and you could hear him chugging like an old steam engine.

As part of our ongoing efforts to provide our customers and distribution network partners with a simplified and consolidated online experience, all DDCSN content has been migrated to our DTNAConnect web portal and the DDCSN web portal is now retired. We can generally understand what is wrong with a diesel engine by the color of smoke emitted from the exhaust. There are three basic colors – black, white and blue.

All that white smoke coming out of the tailpipe is actually steam. As the coolant is dumped into the exhaust system, it quickly vaporizes and turns from liquid to steam and comes out of the exhaust. Could it be the injectors? Improper Grade of Fuel.

Camshaft Timing Verification. This may be caused by plugged ports in the EGR Venturi Pipe. This slows down the response of the sensor but sometimes produces no codes because the unit is in Smoke Control, often for several seconds at a time. This will cause no throttle response or poor acceleration. CORRECTION: Clean the two Venturi ports and replace the Delta Pressure sensor.

If the problem is one or more dirty or malfunctioning glow plugs, then the smoke will usually go away after the engine heats up and begins to sustain its own combustion without them. Just had my car in the garage with horrendous white smoke coming from the exhaust. When blocked oil is passed into the exhaust system apparently. ECM tuning may also require modification of the diesel exhaust system but all conditions must remain within parameters the ECM is expecting from the various system sensors. I changed my pcv valve and the problem went away.

I assume that it was caused by the pcv being clogged. So, the normal crankcase fumes would build up and the gases could only escape through the breather.
