It’s clearly a favourite mid-week lunch spot for people of “a certain age” - and I believe buses bring people from the cruise ships when they are in town too. It’s busy at lunchtime and very noisy, so if you want a quiet chat over lunch then you should go elsewhere. What makes it special is its deck that overlooks the wetland from where one can get a spectacular view of the garden. It can be accessed via the visitor parking area and it is therefore not necessary to pay garden entry fees. At the Masterworks Gallery, you will see a lot of artwork from Homer and many other great collections from local and foreign artists. Eco Lake Located close to the Botanic Gardens exit, this is the lake to visit if you’re only looking for a quick jaunt in the park. Across this spacious landscape, you’ll find trees capable of yielding products like spices, dyes, resins and fibres here.
Summer is in full bloom and we look forward to seeing you at the Gardens soon. The Pretoria Botanical Gardens are clean and well cared for. We had a family picnic there and people of various ages seemed to enjoy it. The Wise Foundation has restored the heritage listed Curators Cottage to deliver a beautiful addition to the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens. Come on a weekday if possible.
The main building has been converted into a unique venue to hold social events, weddings, private functions or even your next business meeting. Today, the 74-hectare Gardens has an extensive collection of more than 10types of plants includes the region’s most significant living collection of orchids, gingers, palms and cycads. Denver Botanic Gardens connects people with plants, especially plants from the Rocky Mountain region and similar regions around the world.
