Halia – Malay for ginger – is located in the one-hectare Ginger Garden of the Singapore Botanic Gardens where over 2species of gingers with their stunning foliage and colourful flowers thrive. We tried Botanic Gardens on our weekend walks and had breakfast at Casa Verde. Local ingredients and produce harvested from Le Potager garden and the Gardens ’ CSA at Chatfield Farms are incorporated into the menu whenever possible. Our initial impression of the Casa Verde Singapore restaurant at the Botanic Gardens was that it was one of those places catering to tourists. Location wise, it is near the entrance of the Visitor Centre. This place is giving us all the reasons to play tourist in our own city.


The Garden Café is situated in beautiful surroundings in the heart of Cambridge University Botanic Garden. Located at the Singapore Botanic Gardens ’ Tanglin Gate, Fusion Spoon is a casual dining place great for families and friends. You can enjoy a wide selection of food and beverages from various cuisine choices such as Western, Asian and Japanese. Named after the remarkable flower developed by Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Yellow Magnolia Café offers modern, vegetable-focused cuisine in a one-of-a-kind setting nestled within the Garden’s iconic landscape.


Designed by David Rockwell, the café is bright and airy and overlooks the Garden’s Lily Pool Terrace. The name, which means ‘Green House’ in Italian, is particularly apt for the restaurant , given its relaxing atmosphere amidst the verdant garden landscape of the Singapore Botanic Gardens. The vibe is relaxe with pets roaming freely in the alfresco area and people chilling after a hike in the park. Assembly Cafe – CLOSED ~~~ Ok technically speaking, Assembly Cafe isn’t located within the Singapore Botanic Gardens. However it’s just a stone’s throw away along Evans road.
