Camaro white smoke from exhaust

Camaro white smoke from exhaust

White Smoke From Exhaust My camaro was parked for about months and when I brought it back to life I was told to add some Lucas fuel additives and gas. I put a bottle in and about maybe gallons. One cause of white smoke from the exhaust might be the engine leaking coolant. If the engine leaks coolant , it will be burned by the heat of the engine and then come out as smoke from the exhaust.

A problem with antifreeze might also be causing white smoke to come from the exhaust. The combination of the coolant and engine oil will create a milky appearance in the smoke. All it takes is for just a little bit of coolant to get into the combustion chamber for white smoke to be produced. Well I have been driving it done and t is still blowing smoke.

A blown head gasket will allow the coolant to leak. The black smoke may show there is a return fuel line which is obstructed. Fuel injectors and sensors might also be damaged.

A final problem which can be diagnosed from black smoke is problem with the air filter. In this video we show you why! What Your Exhaust Smoke Is Trying To Tell You. WTF car is blowing smoke out the exhaust ! When there is white smoke coming from the exhaust , it can mean a few things.

This is generally steam caused by condensation. As the engine warms up and the condensation dissipates the white exhaust smoke (steam) is no longer seen. Here are of the most common causes of a car blowing white smoke from the exhaust pipe. Condensation Burn Off. If you notice white smoke coming from your muffler, don’t automatically assume the worst.

Some white exhaust smoke is normal, especially when you first start the car. But excessive white smoke likely means coolant is leaking into the engine combustion chambers. White smoke can be nothing to be concerned about if it’s thin, like vapor.

This kind of smoke disappears quickly. However, thicker smoke is a big problem, and can be caused the engine burning coolant. The issue is I smell gas strong. Gas millage is horrible. There is white smoke from the exaust.

Every once in a while she seems to hesitate to shift into second after take off. So backed car out of garage then smell fuel the schrader valv is spewing gas all over the engine I shut it off and next thing I see is the engine cateches fire so I grab a water hose and put it out. Ever since then my car now runs a rough idle and spews white smoke out of the exhast. Lots of white exhaust smoke on start up is usually a sign of a head gasket problem. If the leak is very small, or leaking into adjacent cylinders, there may not be much smoke upon starting up, and yet still enough coolant may be pulled into the combustion chamber(s) to produce a strong sweetish exhaust smell.
