Mini Cooper S exhaust Smoke. White smoke is a sign that there is coolant entering the combustion chamber. Most likely caused by a blown head gasket.
Stop driving the car until you can have this repaired. Otherwise if you do have coolant entering the combustion chamber you will destroy the engine. The smoke persists throughout the drive. It sounds perfectly fine.
I had to Take it back to the garage because they hadn’t changed a seal and it was leaking oil. I had also flagged to them that it was intermittently billowing white smoke. It appears they did not address the issue with the white smoke from the exhaust.

Problems, Questions and Technical: Evening, Well El Gordo seems to have taken up smoking on start up now. I get a nice bit of white smoke from the exhaust on start up. Water does not make smoke , it makes steam. EDIT: Even if steam looked like smoke , it takes a minute for the exhaust to heat up to the point that water would turn to steam on it. The temperature gauge didnt go up, nor was the engine smoky when I opened th bonnet. I drove it very slowly to work and checked the oil to see if there was a mix of that and water - the oil seems fine.
