What does AQI stand for? How to test the air quality in your home? An AQI value of 1generally corresponds to the national air quality standard for the pollutant, which is the level EPA has set to protect public health.
AQI values below 1are generally thought of as satisfactory. Any reading higher than 1is considered unhealthy, with readings higher than 3considered. An AQI between 0-is considered goo 51- 1is satisfactory, 101-2moderate, 201-3poor, 301-4very poor and 401-5is marked as severe/hazardous. AQI : Moderate (- 1) Air quality is acceptable; however, for some pollutants there may be a moderate health concern for a very small number of people who are unusually sensitive to air pollution.
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has set to protect public health. An AQI of 2does not mean that the pollution concentration is twice as heavy compared to an AQI of 100. From a pollution scientist’s point of view, the AQI API is not a very useful number.
The AQI is NOT linear. If you give me an overall AQI , I can’t break that number down into component pollutant concentrations. If the predicted AQI is 1or more (poor, very poor, or hazardous) an air pollution health alert will be issued. Mosiński Alarm Smogowy - Obywatelski monitoring powietrza w Mosinie i okolicy.
Celem projektu jest podniesienie świadomości mieszkańców co do jakości powietrza, którym oddychają na co dzień.
