Upon his death, he donated tens of millions of dollars to various Singaporean charities, and therefore this park was named in his honour. Great place for kids, to learn about plants and also to have a lot of fun. They have a minimal menu, but they do serve ice-cream for only $2. Enjoy good food with a scrumptious Singaporean twist! Its theme of ‘Life on Earth Depends on Plants’ aims to educate and instil a love for nature in children.

The Garden is a complete nature-learning environment, where children can delve deeper into the ecology of plants and our environment through discovery and experiential learning. Its intimate space boasts a small interactive play area, located all the way to the back of Food For Tots. This garden have a great variety of things to play with and lots of room to run and explore. We’ve seen the cafe move from Botanic Gardens to Singapore Art Museum, and now, they’re housed at the National Museum of Singapore.

After its extension last year, the Garden has doubled in size to 4ha – that’s around the size of seven football fields. Tucked away in a snug corner of Holland Village, the quaint little eatery offers a cozy ambience with its dim interior and dark furnishing that exudes an old world charm.
