The sensation of the late 18th century in the field of botany was the discovery of a new continent filled with exotic plants unknown to the rest of the world. Annan has four major themes: Plants through Time, Plants and Habitat, Plants and Wildlife and Plants and People. One of the most interesting is the Plants and People, where there are displays of plants that have been used by people through the ages.
It is an extremely structural plant to use in garden design. The Garden features outdoor sculptures, barbecues, a restaurant and a gift shop which sells plants. Take a walk on the wild side through rainforest, bushlan grasslands and stunning gardens.

Reviews We visited the gardens on Saturday 10th. They are popular place for families in Sydney’s west and south-west to visit for picnic lunches, due to their large grassed areas and excellent facilities.
On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 11am and 1pm Mt Annan Botanical Gardens host free guided tours of their amazing facility, PlantBank. The daisies are in full bloom at the moment and the Connections Garden is looking amazing. Located just past Campbelltown in Sydney’s outer south-west, the Mount Annan Botanic Garden is well worth a visit, particularly during the autumn when some of its more interesting butterfly species are on the wing, though I have even had some success there during the winter months.
It is also a haven for over 1species of birds as well as wallaroos, wallabies and kangaroos that call the Garden home.
