Our vegetarian, vegan and allergy aware meals, snacks and baking are all home made. We used the cafe both before and after our visit to Dawyck gardens and both the food and staff could not be faulted. The old castle of Dawyck , of which nothing now remains, stood on the site of what is now the 19th century mansion of Dawyck House. Although offering a short wheelchair access trail the large windows of the café look out over the colours and textures of the stunning gardens that keep mature and unusual plants and trees from around the world. A north-facing hillside rising 850ft above sea level, wouldn’t normally be where you’d expect to find a botanic garden , but deep in the Tweed Valley hides one of the world’s most spectacular arboretums. First we had a chat with the gentleman in the shop and he gave us directions where to go. We then had coffee and scones in the new cafe. The staff were very welcoming and provided good table service after we had ordered at the counter.
Torrey Gardens Cafe I love love love this little place. We stumbled upon it when my friend was visiting from Kauai and we wanted something with fresh and medium sized options for breakfast.
