The Alarm Smoke and CO Listener sends you real-time mobile notifications alerts whenever it hears sirens from smoke or CO alarms in your home. Simply connect the Alarm Smoke and CO Listener to your Ring Alarm Base Station (sold separately) and place it near your existing smoke or CO alarms. You’ll get real-time mobile notifications whenever it hears sirens from existing smoke or CO alarms in your home. If you have an emergency and don’t complete this test, it may not identify that the siren is sounding and won’t alert you to the fire or carbon monoxide threat.

It does not sense smoke or CO directly. When your smoke or CO alarm begins to soun. Simply place this listener near your existing smoke or CO alarm, connect it to your existing Ring Alarm Base Station and protect your home. The Ring listener is placed within a few inches of one of the sirens. I did eventually get the Ring listener to recognize the (dB output) siren. Just installed my listener. I am a big fan of Ring products, but I will say the one product that failed me was the smoke listener.

The Listener is able to listen for both smoke alarms and CO alarms. If you are wanting the one Listener to account for both Alarm types, this will depend on placement and testing. Add to your Ring Alarm system with the Smoke and CO listener. Ring Alarm Smoke and CO Listener should be placed 6” from existing smoke alarms or carbon monoxide alarms, or within 3” for best.

It mounts next to your current smoke and CO detectors to provide you with wireless alerts to any alarm triggers. Requires the Ring Alarm Base Station. Sends alerts when your smoke and CO detectors are triggered.

No need to replace existing smoke and CO detectors. The first actually detects a problem, and this listener waits for other detectors to go off before reporting the problem. If you know of any other smoke listeners (z-wave, not Wi-Fi), please let me know also.

The listener is an ideal solution at a great price but it’s vaporware right now leaving me unable to switch to Ring Alarm as I feel fire detection and reporting is frankly the most important feature this alarm can provide. Any word on when the Ring “ Listener ” or extra sirens for the Alarm will be available? I’ve had an extensive ADT system for years I plan on replacing with the Ring Alarm system. Currently SimpliSafe sells separate smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
