The most noticeable symptom of internal coolant leakage is when the white smoke is billowing out of the exhaust pipe and leaves a sweet odor in the air. It sounds like you may be getting oil into the combustion chambers of your engine causing it to burn off in the exhaust. This is the white smoke you see.


If the problem is with transmission flui it means that the engine is taking fuel through a hosepipe, and this is what leads to white smoke coming out of the tailpipe when you press on the pedal.
