Is this caused by a rich carb or oil getting into the cylinders? It doesnt smoke once the car is moving or pulling away from a stop. I have a chevy 3that started smoking ( white smoke ) and I thought it was possibly a head gasket so I had the heads surfaced and replaced the head gasket etc. I got it back together it still smoked.
Now I have white smoke coming from exhaust more frequently and sometimes I notice it even when truck is running, not just on startup. The color of the smoke will indicate the problem. White thick smoke indicates burning oil, while grey smoke indicates an exhaust issue. There was a lot of oil residue and carbon buildup on most of them.
SymptoThick billowing white smoke from exhaust when I first start it cold after sitting a while. Smoke clears up while driving and does not reappear while stopped and idling (like stopped at a light). If I park for a few minutes then, come back and start it white smoke reappears until i start driving. All he did was start it up and move it in and out. L with 120miles on it.
I have never had one issue with it, not warning lights or anything. Maintenance has been up to date. After that, the exhaust is fine. If you liked the video please Hit LIKE, Share and SUBSCRIBE TO ME for Ink intro credit to Brainflakes.
