This is located some kilometres (miles) south of Dublin. It is particularly famous for its conifers and calcifuges and was planted during the 19th Century by Thomas Acton in association with the curators of the National Botanic Gardens at Glasnevin. This botanic garden is a satellite arboretum of the main Botanic garden in Dublin. As the soil condition is different from the main one, hence it helps to grow different kind of plants.

As expecte the rhododendrons were magnificent and had mostly stood up to the recent frosts.
