White smoke can be a big problem or not, depending on the thickness. Runs very well and no apparent problems. Shaking, white smoke, no power. Injectors replace no fix. Moved timing through from retarded to spot on then varying degrees of advancement.
Fuel filter replaced and. This video should only be used as guidance and not as an absolute-guide. If you don’t know what you are doing. This is usually the last color of smoke you want to see, particularly on gas cars.
If the smoke is thin, and goes away relatively quickly, than it is merely condensation. However, thicker, longer lasting smoke is a much larger headache. In this video we show you why! Little bit of smoke only when pushing hard. Just some issue wanted some feedback on before getting worried.
This is most likely a blown head gasket, cracked hea cracked block etc. Oily sludge would not combust entirely in cylinder, being blown through to burn off in the DPF and exhaust system. As i drove home for the seconds huge cloud of smoke from exhaust I think was white smoke not sure. This is very serious and will cause severe engine damage.
Diesel Smoke tells YOU a Story. Basically, smoke from a diesel engine indicates that something is not right. It should be taken as an indication that there is a problem existing (or developing), that will potentially shorten the engine life, or result in unnecessary costs. It only happens when I accelerate.
If its white smoke with a blue tinge to it, you. I know its common and I read through the other posts and will try to build the into this one. Now the car is consantly putting out the white smoke especially when accelerating.
If it is smoking out the tailpipe, that means that either coolant or a bunch of excess fuel is getting. The car is a Passat 1. Under moderate acceleration , say when pulling a long hill with a moderate grade and the cruise control set, it emits a steady, noticeable but not too heavy trail of smoke. Smokey diesel Passat, what do you think? Mine happened after I overheated it though, actually the next day.
VW Passat with 70miles sends a puff of white smoke from the exhaust pipe while accelerating. And just a puff while. I just went through this with by turbocharger this past week. It blew its seal and trashed its bearings. Pull your charge pipe off the turbo going to the intercooler.
If there is oil in it, your turbo is gone. Seems to be getting worse. I have changed the fuel filter , air filter, changed the lift pump. Could I have turbo or injector.
L Sthat recently began leaving a trail of white smoke when hitting the acceleration pretty hard. I got under the engine and had a helper step on the gas while I watched for the source of the leak. Got in the car, started it, drove down the roa felt a bit sluggish. No codes or indicator lights.
No rough engine, though I did lose RPMs when it happened. I thought some smoke was normal. What colour should it be?
