Maleny Botanic Gardens and Bird World An Unforgettable Experience! The four walk-through aviaries are home to over 7native and exotic birds from around the world. Owner Frank Shipp started the aviary because they started to receive unwanted birds in the area. They’ve since taken them in and given them all a home. The Bird Avery is massive and the guided tour goes for hour and you experience one on one with birds. Overlooking a backdrop of the iconic Glass House Mountains and surrounded by magnificent rainforest.
Visitors can meander along more than 6km of pathways presenting greenery and blooms like roses, azaleas, annuals, and rare cycads. Lakes and waterfalls provide opportunities for budding photographers and views.
