Halia botanic

Are you a vegetarian or have someone who is a vegetarian in. From Seafood to Steaks its extensive menu is reflective of the restaurant’s efforts to cater to every palate. The restaurant, whose name is synonymous with its location in the Ginger Garden – the word ‘Halia’ is a Malay word for ginger – is one of the first restaurants in Singapore to showcase modern European cuisine. There are many entrances to the Botanic Gardens, so just walk to the Orchid gardens side. Not surprising though, since the food is actually pretty good.


The word ‘halia’ means ginger in Malay. Usher in prosperity and celebrate the coming Lunar New Year with a traditional “Lo-Hei” toss with a sweet twist! Featuring freshly sliced sashimi and Halia ’s signature ginger flower sauce (instead of traditional plum sauce).


Get a free photo memento and Halia ang pow. Halia is a nice spot to grab salad and tea after visiting Botanic gardens. Staff and ambient reflect natural beauty through. Love nature to love yourself, experience the full ambience of dining in the gardens by seating outside. Surrounded by an abundance of flora, this eatery offers rustic wooden tables and open-air porches, allowing diners to unwind as they feast.


Reservation are not accepted for Brunch. The Halia Modern European Restaurant in Singapore. But alas, it was out of reach simply because it was not certified Halal. Until recently, that is.


But the term in itself sounds posh enough. It’s in the Dining Experience. Besides its unique location, Villa Halia also sets itself apart with an experienced team that can assist with your other wedding needs. Perfectly grilled (and super fresh!) succulent prawns are the crowning glory of this Asian-inspired salad.

Accompanying them are sweet mango pieces, fresh greens and tomatoes all sitting atop a bed of glass noodles. Some of their dishes are a mix of East and West, for example Halia’s Singapore-style chilli crab spaghettini ($26). If you don’t already know, Halia means ‘ginger’ in Malay. Make a guess where Halia is located at the Botanic Gardens?


At the Ginger Garden of course. The Gardens is the first UNESCO Heritage Site in Singapore. Today, the Gardens is an important botanical institute. Backed by the lovely glow of the evening sun and surrounded by their family and friends, the hexagon shaped pavilion and its lattice white pillars provided the perfect spot for the lovebirds’ solemnisation while the modern and. It is listed as a UNESCO heritage site (along with only two other botanical gardens , Kew Gardens in London and the botanical garden in Padova, Italy).


It is one of three gardens, and the only tropical garden, to be honoured as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enchanting on many fronts, Corner House celebrates a unique and colourful human being, it evokes the romance of a special historical location, it thrills with superb gastronomy and makes a return to grace and hospitality that will be cherished and remembered. Singapore Botanical Gardens is my favourite botanical garden, and I have visited quite a few.
