Has BMW addressed this “flaw” in the ’Xmodels and beyond? It has now gone away, but the car idles really rough like it is going to die. Has been leaking oil for a while but I always make sure it is full.
If I continue to drive the car the smoke continue to come out. I loooooooooove however a few minor problems which I can live with til I get them fixed or replaced £££££££ ,Ok heres where I need advice shes done 115k engine purrs however I keep getting a lot of white smoke from the exhaust wh. Cleaned the muffler after changing the Turbocharger but smoke still persisted.
The smoke is now whitish and oil is escaping. The oil is still escaping presumably through the exhaust as oil levels are dropping sharply What could the problem be. Blueish grey smoke from the tail pipe is oil smoke (black smoke from the exhaust is usually excess fuel, white steam from the exhaust is usually due to a blown head gasket). Oil smoke from the exhaust means oil is entering the combustion chamber and being burned in the cylinder before being expelled out the exhaust.
